We spent the afternoon at the El Segundo 4th of July Carnival, complete with races for the little ones, face painting, cotton candy, and hot dogs. Later, we went to the base for more hot dogs and fireworks. The girls thought the fireworks were too loud, but tolerated them pretty well if we held our hands over their ears. These girls do NOT like loud noises. All in all, we had a fun-filled day. Good old fashioned, family fun! :-)

Here's Ella, Will, Katie, Anthony, Morgan, and Mikey watching Peter Pan. Morgan's mommy wins the smartest parent award -- she brought the portable DVD player to keep the kids entertained while waiting for the fireworks to begin. Way to Go Morgan's Mommy!
