Ella and the 4-Wheeler

Ella is in LOVE with Wesley's old "4-wheeler"... of course it's not real. It's battery-operated. But, she just loves riding around the yard on this thing. She hasn't quite figured out how to steer it yet, so you have to stay close so that she doesn't run over anything (including her sister!).

Katie Gets Dressed

I had laid out some church clothes for the girls (sort of a subliminal message -- they are usually less resistant about getting dressed when they see the clothes laying out for them). Katie disappeared for a while and came out of the bedroom all dressed. She had gotten dressed ALL BY HERSELF! Can you tell how proud she is? Notice she has two right feet? Oh well... She was close!

Here she's doing a little spin for me and saying "CHEEEEESE!" Too cute!

Cheese Head Ella

How she came up with this, I'll never know... Ella put a piece of cheese on her forehead and said, "I have a cheese head." Silly girl!

"CHEEEEESE" says Cheesehead, Ella.

A Windy Day in Oklahoma

There's something about this day that reminded me of Winnie-the-Pooh and the Hundred Acre Forest... it was a very blustery day... was that one of the Pooh stories when we were kids? I can't remember. But, I do know that Katie (in purple) and Ella (in pink) were so completely delighted by the wind and the leaves and well, just running for the sheer joy of running. The leaves had collected on the drive and they ran back and forth and back and forth and back and forth yet again. The wind was whipping through the air, there was a crunch and rustle with every step they took... as you can see from their faces... totally in the moment... complete joy.

Playing with Grandma

Here's a few photos of the girls playing with Grandma in the garage turned playroom. Thought you'd like to see their little set-up here. As you can see, there is a little kitchen (behind G'ma), table & chairs, a little 'market' and shelves in the back for toys, toys, toys (oh, and some of G'ma's stuff too). It has a little heater, so it's nice and toasty in there and on warmer days, we can open the garage door and they have a nice place to play out of the wind. It's a great set up!

You'll notice that Ella is wearing the new raincoat I bought her. She LOVES that coat and asks to wear it often. Typical Ella, she's naked underneath... think she's going to turn into a "flasher"?

Sorry, no faces in these pix -- couldn't get Katie (above) or Ella to look at me -- little stinkers!

Kids for Dinner?

Grandma was looking for a lid to a pot and Katie decided it would be a fun idea to sit in the pot... Those silly girls! :-)

Katie sitting in the pot. Ella decides it would be funny to sit on Katie who's sitting in the pot!

Ready for Take Off?

These photos are kind of dark, so you may not be able to make out all the details. But, if you look closely, you can see that Katie & Ella are reviewing the flight safety brochure. I guess they're preparing for a bumpy ride?

Katie (in the foreground), appears to be in deep concentration.

And, this is them at take off... both have their faces covered with their blankets.
