Butterscotch

This is your first pet and boy, do you two LOVE this little dog.  Here are a few pictures to remind us of her puppy cuteness...

Enjoying the spring weather and scratchy grass.  She is shedding her puppy hair and I think it feels good to roll around in the grass.

We have been taking a puppy class with Butterscotch and our lesson this week was "leave it".  Katie, you decided to "train" Butterscotch to "leave it" by surrounding her with treats.  (Un)fortunately for us, treats are not much of a motivator for her -- as you can see in this picture she is not in the least bit interested.  I'm proud of you, Katie, for making an effort with Butterscotch and for being such a good listener in puppy class.

Katie as Aire

Each week, ISL has an assembly where the kids put on a little skit to show thier "skills".  Today was Ms. Myrna's Spanish Kindergarten class, which is Katie's class. 

Here is a clip of your assembly, Katie.  You play the air (aire) and blow in about 45 seconds into the video.  I don't know what you are saying exactly, but you are absolutely adorable (at least that's your mother's opinion!).  You didn't seem the least bit nervous, but appeared confident, excited, and proud.  That was how I felt watching you -- incredibly proud!  ¡Brava, Katie!

The Wasp-es

Paw Paw Bill took us to Hornets game one afternoon.  It was a fun adventure, going to a real live NBA game!

Oklahoma Christmas

We spent Christmas in Oklahoma at Grandma and Granddad's house.  When we arrived, there was a surprise waiting for you -- a puppy!  You two worked together and decided, because of her creamy color, to name her Butterscotch. 

Santa brought the Penbo pet Katie wanted and she came with twins!  A pink little penbo baby for Katie and a purple baby for Ella.

Here we are on our 12-hour trek back to Louisiana -- notice how the van is stuffed to the brim with Christmas goodies?  Butterscotch is in Ella's lap. Katie is taking her time getting to know her.
