Fall Picnic

Clearing out the backlong of pictures, as you can see.... we had a picnic at the Women's Garden one sunny afternoon after school in November.

Katie (in brown) and Ella having a lunch of pa-cheeto's (aka cheeto's), a rare treat because when we have pa-cheeto's they rarely eat anything else! Defininately a family fav!!

Fall Leaves

Fall on Fiddlers Green is AMAZING -- bright and beautiful leaves, leaves, LEAVES -- EVERYWHERE! And, so much fun to play in!

A Day at the Nat'l Arboretum

I had a backlog of photos in my phone and forgot to share pictures of our outing to the National Arboretum. This was early in November, one of our last really nice days here.

You'll notice Ella running out of the picture giving me a big wave! These beautiful old columns she's running in front of are actually some of the original Corinthian columns from the U.S. Capitol orginally erected in 1824. They had to be replaced when the final (current) dome was added because it was too large and heavy for these columns. So, they make a beautiful pic-nic spot and fun running course for 5-yr olds.

Clown Girls

Don't ask me about their fascination with drawing on their faces.... seriously. They love to draw and often that includes drawing on themselves. Here, they are being clowns. I think it was with the cheap, bright red lipstick that I bought them for Halloween and trust me, it was a BEAR getting it off!

Ms Lisa's Ballet Class - Final Performance

Here are a few pictures of Katie & Ella's last ballet class in NoVA with Ms. Lisa. They had a mini-recital for the parents. The girls did a few selections from The Nutcracker.

The little girl in the blue tutu didn't know what she was doing, which is why all the little girls were looking at her. It was pretty funny, but the other kids were getting a little frustrated with her.
