A Day at the Nat'l Arboretum

I had a backlog of photos in my phone and forgot to share pictures of our outing to the National Arboretum. This was early in November, one of our last really nice days here.


You'll notice Ella running out of the picture giving me a big wave! These beautiful old columns she's running in front of are actually some of the original Corinthian columns from the U.S. Capitol orginally erected in 1824. They had to be replaced when the final (current) dome was added because it was too large and heavy for these columns. So, they make a beautiful pic-nic spot and fun running course for 5-yr olds.
